Traveling to Morocco is exciting beaches in Agadir, the vibes of Marrakech, the blue of Chefchaouen, the desert, and the food… but let’s be honest: renting a car can feel risky.
You don’t know if the company is real, you don’t know if the price online is the final price, and sometimes you arrive at the airport and discover… There is no car.
MarHire was created to fix exactly that.
MarHire is a Moroccan travel brand that works with real local car rental agencies in each city, not with random sellers. When you book with MarHire, you are booking with a local agency that actually has the car in that city and delivers it to you — airport, hotel, riad, marina, even Taghazout or Agafay in some cases.
So instead of “let’s hope the car is there,” it becomes:
“I know who is bringing my car, I know how much I will pay, and if I have a problem, I text them on WhatsApp.”
In this article, we’ll show you in simple words:
What MarHire is
Where it works in Morocco
How the booking and payment work
What kind of cars can you get
What happens if your flight is late
Why it safer than renting from a random ad
How to contact them
This is written for clients/travelers, not for agencies.
1. What is MarHire?
MarHire is a Morocco-based brand that connects travelers with local car rental agencies that already exist in Moroccan cities.
The difference is: these agencies work under MarHire standards — the same way of booking, the same way of delivering, the same way of talking to clients.
So when you rent in:
Agadir → you get the MarHire agency in Agadir
Marrakech → you get the MarHire agency in Marrakech
Tangier → you get the MarHire agency in Tangier
Fes → you get the MarHire agency in Fes
Each one is local, knows the city, has its own cars, and can deliver to its airport.
You’re not booking with a foreign broker.
You’re booking with a real Moroccan agency, but with the comfort of an organized brand.
2. Where does MarHire work?
MarHire is growing city by city, starting with the places tourists actually visit and land in:
Agadir – airport delivery, hotel delivery, Taghazout (extra)
Marrakech – airport (RAK), Gueliz, Medina meeting points, Agafay (on request)
Tangier – airport, port, train station, city hotels
Fes – airport, old medina area, hotels
And because it’s the same brand, you can talk to them about moving from one city to another:
Agadir → Marrakech
Tangier → Chefchaouen
Fes → Merzouga
Marrakech → Agadir
You don’t need to look for 5 different rental companies — you can stay in the MarHire network.
3. How does booking work?
MarHire kept it very simple because most people who travel to Morocco like to pay on delivery.
Step 1 – Tell them what you need
You send a message (website / WhatsApp / form) with:
city
dates
pickup place (airport, hotel, address)
car type (small / family / SUV / luxury)
Step 2 – They confirm a real car
A local MarHire agency in that city checks its fleet and tells you:
“Clio 5 available,” or “Dacia Duster available,” or “SUV available but with deposit.”
Step 3 – Small online amount to secure
To be sure you are a serious client and to block the car for you, they send a small online payment link (not the full amount).
This is very common in Morocco because agencies deliver cars to hotels and don’t want to drive for nothing.
Step 4 – Driver delivers the car
On the day, their driver brings the car to where you are — airport or hotel — at the time you said.
Step 5 – You pay the rest on delivery
You check the car, you sign, and you pay the remaining balance. Most of the time:
cash in euro
cash in dirham
sometimes card (depends on city/agency)
That’s it. No surprise platform fees, no “the price changed,” no “the car is not available.”
4. Are the cars really theirs?
This is one of the big differences.
Many websites just list cars from the internet and don’t actually own or manage them.
MarHire works with local agencies that provide their own cars or cars they manage directly. That means:
the car is already in the city
the agency knows its condition, year, mileage
they can tell you honestly if it’s available or not
they can replace it if something happens on the road
For you as a client, this means: less stress.
If a car is managed locally, the agency can fix things fast.
5. What kind of cars can I rent?
It depends on the city, but most MarHire agencies in Morocco can provide:
Economy / city cars
Renault Clio 5
Dacia Logan
Peugeot 208
Perfect for 2–4 people, city driving, Agadir or Marrakech streets.
Family / comfort
Dacia Duster
Hyundai Accent
VW T-Roc (in some cities)
Better if you have luggage or kids.
SUV / premium
Tiguan, Touareg, Audi Q series, etc.
Those usually need a deposit or full insurance, but you can ask.
Extras
Baby / child seat
Second driver
Delivery to nearby towns
What’s nice is: you can ask for a specific model and they will tell you if it’s in that city or if they can bring it from another city.
6. Do I need to pay a deposit?
Short answer: sometimes yes, sometimes no.
MarHire agencies in Morocco know that many tourists don’t like big deposits. So for normal, economy, family cars, many cities can offer a:
no-deposit option (you pay a small extra or take insurance)
low deposit compared to luxury cars
For luxury, SUV, or special cars, a deposit is normal — that’s to protect the car and the agency.
The best part: they tell you this before they deliver, so you don’t get surprised at the airport.
7. What if my flight is late?
This is a real problem in Morocco: flights can land 1–2 hours late.
Because MarHire agencies are local, they are more flexible:
you send your flight number
they track it
the driver waits or adjusts
Just tell them your flight is delayed through WhatsApp and they will update the delivery time. That’s why MarHire always asks for WhatsApp — it’s faster than email when you land.
8. Can I pay in euro?
Most of the time: yes.
MarHire agencies know tourists prefer to keep their dirhams for shopping or restaurants, so they accept:
EUR cash
MAD cash
sometimes card
If you want to be 100% sure, just tell them in the chat: “I will pay in euro.”
They will calculate the amount for you.
9. Can I drive to another city?
Yes, that’s one of the reasons people rent in Morocco: the country is big and it’s beautiful to drive.
With MarHire, you can usually do:
Agadir → Marrakech
Marrakech → Casablanca
Tangier → Chefchaouen → Tetouan
Fes → Merzouga → Marrakech
Sometimes there is a drop-off fee if you want to return the car in another city (because the agency needs to bring it back), but they will tell you the amount before you confirm.
10. Why is MarHire safer than random Facebook / marketplace rentals?
A lot of people rent on WhatsApp or Facebook from someone they don’t know. Sometimes it goes well, sometimes it doesn’t.
MarHire is safer because:
It’s a brand, not one person. If one driver is late, another can come.
It uses real agencies with real cars.
It gives you rules in advance (deposit, fuel, drop-off, extra cities).
It has websites per city — that’s not cheap scam behavior.
It speaks tourist language — airport delivery, pay on delivery, EUR, WhatsApp.
So if you like the comfort of a local agency but still want something organized → MarHire is exactly in the middle.
11. What if I have a problem during the rental?
You don’t go through a call center abroad.
You talk to the same team that delivered the car to you.
accident → call / WhatsApp
need 1 more day → WhatsApp
want to drop in another city → WhatsApp
Because they are in Morocco and not in another country, it’s easier for them to send help or to switch cars.
12. Who is MarHire good for?
Families who want delivery to hotel / riad
Couples who don’t want to negotiate with 10 agencies
Groups of friends going city to city
Digital nomads staying 1–4 weeks
First-time visitors who don’t know the Moroccan rental habits yet
If you like to know who is behind the car and to have everything on WhatsApp — you’ll like it.
13. How to book with MarHire
Go to the city website (Agadir, Marrakech, Tangier, Fes…)
Fill the short form or click WhatsApp
Say: dates, flight, car type, pickup place
Get confirmation + online link for small payment
Receive the car where you are
Super simple.

Yes, just tell us the time and the flight number. Night delivery is possible in most cities.

5. Can I get help with trips and activities?
Yes. MarHire is a travel brand, so we can help with drivers, tours, sometimes boats, depending on the city.
